Correspondence detailing the Homestead Inauguration of Calvin Coolidge: 1931, 1957 et. al.

This series of documents details the method by which Vermont historical researchers attempted to piece together Porter Dale’s account of Coolidge’s inauguration in August of 1923. As with many events of this nature, the exact recollection differed with the teller. Yet across all accounts, the drama and solemnity of the moment is universal.
