“Take the stage for home”

Grandmother Coolidge to Calvin Coolidge: February 24, 1886.

Grandmother Coolidge updates her grandson on how the townsfolk of Plymouth are faring in the late winter season. She tells him that she is doing well and bids him to greet some of her acquaintances in Ludlow. In a grandmotherly fashion, she encourages him to either head home or to inform his father if he falls ill.
